Jaguar Xe Tires

Introduced in 2015, the Jaguar XE is a 4-door compact sedan that took the place of the long-running X-Type in the Jaguar lineup. The XE is notable for its extensive use of aluminum for weight reduction (bonded and riveted unitary structure along with aluminum suspension components) and was also the first application of Jaguar’s 2.0L Ingenium 4-cyl engine. For model year ‘17, the Jaguar XE was also available with V6 and V8 engines, topping out with a 592 hp 5.0L V8 that could launch the XE to 60 mph in under four seconds. The Jaguar XE is comfortable and capable, with 2WD or AWD drivetrains available. An interesting design note is that key body panels in front and rear are bolt-on pieces to simplify body work after a collision and lower insurance costs. A limited-edition version called SV Project 8 features an intercooled, supercharged version of the V8 with a jaw-dropping 592 hp.

Our team at FORTLUFT went through the catalog and compiled some of the best tire options for your Jaguar XE, including all-season, all-weather, winter, and summer-ultra-high-performance (UHP) tires. We then assigned a numerical value for handling, traction, and longevity for each of them, using our SimpleScore system that assesses data points for all those. Ready? Let’s get started:
1. Bridgestone Turanza QuietTrack: Best All-Season tire
Let’s get this list going with the Bridgestone Turanza QuietTrack. The Turanza QuietTrack is the preferred choice as original equipment for numerous luxury cars and crossovers. If you’re the kind of driver who puts a refined ride, low noise, and long tread life at the top of your list of priorities as well as year-round performance, this could be a perfect tire for you. Bridgestone designed the Turanza QuietTrack for success, with durable internal construction and a long-lasting tread compound. Internally there’s a polyester casing with steel belts and a nylon cap overlay. Bridgestone offers a best-in-class 80,000 mile warranty for the Turanza QuietTrack

2017 Jaguar Xe Tires

Introduced in 2015, the Jaguar XE is a 4-door compact sedan that took the place of the long-running X-Type in the Jaguar lineup. The XE is notable for its extensive use of aluminum for weight-savings, and was also the first application of Jaguar’s 2.0L Ingenium 4-cyl engine. For model year ‘17, the Jaguar XE was also available with V6 and V8 engines, topping out with a 592 hp 5.0L V8 that could launch the XE to 60 mph in under four seconds. For model year ‘17, the Jaguar XE was available with R-Sport, Prestige, Premium and First Edition trim levels.

When you shop 2017 Jaguar XE tires, you’ll probably have the best results with premium all season tires that can deliver long wear, year-round traction, a quiet, forgiving ride and excellent road manners and handling. We’d suggest tires like the Michelin Primacy 4 (with 45k mile treadwear warranty), Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 (45k mile warranty), Bridgestone Potenza RE980 AS (50k mile warranty) and Continental PureContact AS (70k mile warranty). To really get the most out of your 2017 Jaguar XE’s handling characteristics, we’d recommend summer and ultra-high-performance tires like the Pirelli Cinturato P7, Hankook Ventus V12 evo2 (K120) and Kumho Ecsta PS31.Just remember that the softer, “stickier” tread formulation of summer and UHP tires really enhances cornering and braking performance, but will stiffen and lose grip in colder weather. These tires shouldn’t be used at temperatures lower than about 45 degrees F.
