General Tire and Rubber Company was founded in 1915 by William “W.O.” O’Neil and Winfred Fouse in Akron, Ohio. Yes, General tyres could be provided with a standard limited warranty. Under this limited warranty, if a General tire wears out evenly to the level of tread wear indicators (2/32nds of an inch or 1.6 mm of tread remaining) before its specified mileage/kilometers (listed on the official website), General could warrant the tire on pro-rata basis. Pro-rata for this mileage warranty is measured as per the odometer readings at the time of tire purchase and the odometer reading at the time of replacement. C
